Representing the Supervisors and Managers of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department
The Law Enforcement Management Unit (LEMU) was formed in 1986 to represent the Supervisors and Managers of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department. This encompasses the ranks of Sergeant, Lieutenant, and Captain in the sworn and correctional ranks along with the Coroner Sergeant and Lieutenant rank. LEMU also represents the District Attorney Bureau Commander as well as the Supervising District Attorney Investigators. The role of LEMU is to represent its members during labor negotiations, labor disputes, grievances, and all other aspects related to the terms and conditions of employment.
It is the mission of the Law Enforcement Management Unit (LEMU) to
Establish a permanent, non-profit organization for the benefit of all members.
Represent members individually or collectively in all matters relating to their employer/employee relations.
Aid in the advancement of the qualities of law enforcement services provided within Riverside County.
